Kaimare, known to many as Kai, was born and raised in the southern most isles of the Caribbean, Trinidad and Tobago. Passionate about sports and assisting others reach their full potential, Kai has worked with hundreds of athletes and coaches across the U.S. since 2012 ranging from DI colleges, soccer academies and national sport organizations. Besides consulting with athletes & coaches, Kai has presented his work in various national & state conferences such as the United Soccer Coaches Convention, the Annual Sport Psychology Conference, and the National Coaching Conference. Dedicated to helping other professionals grow within the field of counseling and sport psychology, Kai also mentors and supervises graduate students at Northwestern University. Integrating his enthusiasm and passion for sports with his experiences as a consultant, coach, personal trainer and entrepreneur, Kai will be developing and leading the sport performance training programs at the Tidewater Sharks Soccer Club. When Kai is not working you can probably find him at the WISC playing soccer in one of the adult league or eating at a local restaurant with his wife Kacey.
When we asked Kai, “why do you love the Sharks?” his response was simple, “because it is more than a club, it is a community!”
"Kai has been part of our club for a numbers of years and we are excited to make his position official. From our sports psychology workshops focusing on short term & long term goal setting, dealing with stressful situations and focusing on the process, we have seen our players grow in confidence & ability. We have also seen team cohesiveness & chemistry exponentially improve. Kai started the performance pilot program this Winter and we quickly saw athlete improvements. The program is designed to strengthen the athlete, prevent injury and improve self confidence. We are excited to be offering this program year round for all of our athletes.
Kai is also a licensed coach and he currently coaches our 2011 boys United. I could continue to discuss all of Kai's accomplishments to date but let me just say Kai fits in perfectly with our club and culture. He is a hard working, loyal and passionate person who truly wants the best for our players. Welcome to the Sharks! "- Martin Vickerton, Club Director.
